Heidi Klum born Bergisch Gladbach Germany 1st June 1973. Erna the mother of Heidi was stylist. Gunther was the father of Gunther as well as a top executive in a cosmetics manufacturer. Her father had previously been a production manager for the perfume maker 4711. Heidi was born within Bergisch Gladbach which is a town with a population of 70,000, just 6 miles to the east of Cologne. German-American fashion model who is present host of a television show, fashion designer and businesswoman. Karin encouraged Klum, then a student of 18 years old, to compete in the German TV talent show dubbed Model 92. Model 92, a show sponsored by German magazines for women, Petra was part of the late-night talk show that was hosted by Thomas Gottschalk. Klum faced off against 25,000 contestants in Germany, Europe and beyond until she reached third place. In April of 1992 Klum won the $300,000.00 highest prize in modeling.
