Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. she is currently president and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss hails originally from California is a member of an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who went on to own the Lakers and other sports companies. When she was in the year 1972, her parents separated together and she felt abandoned. She joined her family's business when she was 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Then she founded an organization called the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice president for the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and the control for the Lakers was inherited by Buss as well as her siblings by a trust of the family with each sibling having the same vote. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also owns Women of Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion with the headquarters located in Los Angeles.
